Praise for this book
First, I want to thank Emily Campbell for choosing me to be an arc reader for this novel! Her writing style is out of this world and it really has you hooked from the moment the novel begins. Fair warning, this book does have some trigger warnings and can get intense. But the way Emily uses descriptive language in her writing, it makes it all worth it! She really made you feel and hear what was going on when Harper would sense someone was watching her. The way she made us hyper aware with Harper about her surroundings really made me feel like I was with Harper, standing side by side, waiting to see what’s going to happen next.
I absolutely love how Harper, despite what she went through, was able to find her happily ever after. As someone who has been in a similar situation like her, getting a happy ending made my heart swell 🫶🏽 Nolan is a knight in shining armor and just embodies being the protector she always needed. I give this book 5/5! I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Bayshore and read Eli’s story !!
Did I binge this in one day? Why yes I did. I'm not sure I was prepared for the Rollercoaster of emotions this one took me on. If you've known me for a while, and know my past, after reading this, you'll understand why this one hits home for me. Out on February 6th! Preo-order now!
Well written and intriguing story. The two main characters are well developed. Harper’s story in particular will draw you in and leave you wanting more. The flashbacks make her more interesting. Nolan’s story however will make you wonder what his true story really is. Then there is Cole. It is a mystery why he is the way he is. I definitely recommend this book; bring your imagination until it all comes together.
I got an ARC of this one and had never read anything from @author.emily.campbell before so didn’t know what to expect. What I got was a small town romance with some suspense and a little bit of spice. It’s a story of losing one’s self to abuse, but finding [and ultimately loving] one’s self again through trust and strength of others. It was a fast read that kept me turning pages to see what would happen next.
